Brian Snodderly, President

Brian grew up in a Christian family in St. Joseph, MO. He graduated from high school in 1979 and began to live the world.
Brian rededicated his life to Christ in 1998 and immediately began to do missions work. He made eleven consecutive annual mission trips to Mexico, two trips to Alaska, and one trip to South Africa. Then Brian went to Honduras.
He felt a calling from the Lord to continue serving in Honduras. Eventually, he realized he was being called to start a ministry that would serve Honduran children, youth, and seniors. Amazing Comfort Ministries is the result.

Michelle Caron, Secretary

My name is Michelle Caron and I have the honor of being married to George for thirty years. The Lord has blessed us with five childrenand four great grandchildren.
As a family, my husband, children and I were all baptized together in faith. I served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, Luther League director and Youth choir director for many years in Iowa before moving to Missouri where we now attend First Christian Church in Kearney.
In my professional life I am a registered nurse and it was in that position that I was asked to come to Honduras to help on a medical mission. One trip was all it took to change my heart and open my eyes to how much more there is to do.
After the mission, while asking God what I might do to better serve Him, I was asked if I would serve on the board of Amazing Comfort Ministries and hold the position of Secretary.
I look forward to where God might lead me and how he might use me in His service.

Marilyn Bennett, Treasurer

Marilyn was born in Gladstone, MO, second in a family of eight children. She is the mother of Johnnie, Rebecca and Kevin and a grandmother of 6.
She accepted Christ at a Youth for Christ rally in Kansas City at the age of 11.
She has lived in Kearney since 1985, first as a member of the First Christian Church and currently a member of Community Covenant Church. She has served as Stewardship Chairperson, Assistant Sunday School Teacher, Vice Chairperson and Treasurer/Bookkeeper.
She worked 16 years with her husband John at their automotive dealership in Kearney and another 7 years following John’s passing in 2002 and is now retired.
She was praying for God’s will in her next step in serving Him, when Brian Snodderly asked her to join the board of Amazing Comfort Ministries as Treasurer and looks forward to being a part of this ministry to serve God in Honduras.

Craig Snodderly, Board Member

I first went to church in my Mother’s womb. At 8 years old I sat on top of a dugout at the neighborhood ball field and had long discussions with God. At 10 I officially proclaimed Jesus as my Lord and Savior in front of the congregation and was baptized on Easter Sunday. God took a shy, awkward little boy and formed what I am today. He continues to do so.
God has always placed others in front of me who shared their problems, issues, and concerns. God has always opened doors for me to share my faith. Whatever my path or task, hard labor, sales, management, or servant. I have seeked to do so to the Glory of God.
God led me to study Biblical Counseling to which I achieved a Advanced Diploma. My advanced certifications include; Marriage, Drug and Alcohol Addiction and Recovery, Teenagers, and Stress and Trauma. I was also recently ordained as pastor. All of these and any achievements I have mean nothing without the one, My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who made them possible.
It is my honor to be the recipient of a vision of Amazing Comfort Ministries which was once viewed as impossible, but now in God’s timing is a reality.
Praise God as we seek to do his will.

Mark Johnson, Board Member

I was born 1953 in St. Joseph, Missouri. I was baptized into Christ in 1967 at Central Christian Church at it’s old location on 22nd Street near Fredrick Ave.
I am currently a member of Central Christian Church in Mesa, Arizona and volunteer there in various capacities as needed.
I have had many jobs including but not limited to yard care, farm work, retail stocker, photo engraver, reporter/photographer for a newspaper, factory worker, factory mechanic, construction worker, truck driver, water sales and delivery, insurance agent, and 28.5 years in law enforcement.
I am, thankfully, retired. I am married and my wife Rhonda and I have children and grandchildren.
I fully believe Jesus is who he says and desire to share Him with any who are interested, no strings attached.

Robin Scobee, Board Member

Robin was fortunate to grow up in the church, attending several in small Missouri towns where she was raised. Unfortunately she did not take advantage of this gift and moved away from God as a young adult.
It is only by His grace in pursuing her at a time when she wanted nothing to do with Him that she heard his voice when he called out to her. Already a wife and a mother at the time of her conversion, she became a member of Community Covenant Church and entered into vocational ministry as a Children’s Ministry Director.
She served there for 6 years until her husband enlisted in the United States Army and moved with him to Fort Stewart, Georgia.
There she seeks to continue serving God with her gifts by teaching Sunday school at New Covenant Presbyterian Church and as a Group Leader in the Savannah area Bible Study Fellowship.

Jim Herod, Board Member

Jim and his wife Georgia reside in Liberty, Missouri, after 40 years in ministry, including 21 years pastoring churches in Utah and 6 years in Vermont.
Jim graduated from Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M University-Kingsville) with a Bachelor of Business Administration and received a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
He has led or participated with multiple mission teams to many locations, including Alaska, Puerto Rico, Mexico, as well as the continental United States.
He is currently employed part-time at a trucking company in Kansas City and serves as an International Interim Minister for churches in the Northland area.
