CHILDREN’S CENTER IN SAN NICOLÁS

The center provides nutricious meals, bible schools, crafts are been provided to children assisting the feeding center.
Meals are provided three times a week.

Their mothers are actively helping preparing lunches, as well they are periodical programs for the mother's filled with God's word, crafts, or any teaching new skills that may be used to start a business.

HOW IT STARTED?

This program started in 2010, our partners' Linaje Escogido Church started going to the dump, were children and families from San Nicolas,
used to visit the Town dump sorting through the trash in search for food and other items

The Official Feeding center was inaugurated February of 2015, named First in the Kingdom Children’s Center, located in San Nicolas.
Many of the families that used to go through the trash are originally from San Nicolas, and are now actively attending the center.

Cristina de Velasquez faithfully coordinates the lunches and gives classes to the children.
Her brother Hernan is the dedicated Caretaker, and also tirelessly grows vegetables in the centers garden.

MEALS AND ACTIVITIES

The center provides nutritious meals, Bible study, English classes and crafts for children attending the feeding center. Meals are provided Three times a week.

The program motivates and ensures mothers are involved in preparing meals, and periodic activities are held for them.

MEDICAL ATTENTION

San Nicolas has no official health center. The nearest one is 15 miles away at our "Samuel" Medical Center. For families without a vehicle, transportation is difficult.

Amazing Comfort Ministries and the Center sponsor periodic medical brigades to assist children and families in San Nicolas.
